Getac Board of Directors Approved the Purchase of Dazhi Factory Plant
Corporate News2020.04.16Getac Technology Corporation (TWSE: 3005) today held the board of directors meeting, and passed the resolution to purchase the land and buildings of Dazhi plant (Located at No.2 Da-zhi Road, Taoyuan City) owned by Waffer Technology Corporation(TWSE:6235). The land area is about 3,677 pings( equivalent to 12,155 square meters) and the building area is 6,956 pings(Equivalent to 22,995 square meters). The total transaction amount is NT$1.03 billion.
Getac Technology Corporation stated that the purchase of Taoyuan Dazhi Plant was mainly to diversify the allocation of global production capacity in order to cope with the growth of future operations. -

Corporate News2020.01.15Getac, a leading rugged mobile computing manufacturer today announced it has been selected by the BMW Group to supply rugged mobile devices and solutions across its global network for a wide range of applications including R&D, production, warehouse logistics and workshop diagnostics. The announcement expands on an existing technology partnership between the two companies, which has seen Getac supply rugged equipment to the BMW Group for vehicle and application testing over the last six years. With the partnership renewed, Getac has received a large new order from the BMW Group for its S410, V110, F110, A140, UX10 and T800 series rugged notebooks and tablets.
