Charitable Activities
About the Getac Holdings Charitable Trust
We firmly believe that the growth and success of a company stem from the support of society and the general public. As such, Getac’s Board of Directors allocates a portion of annual profits to the “Getac Holdings Charitable Trust,” a dedicated public welfare fund.
Getac has always upheld education and social care as its core values, working long-term with various non-profit organizations, social welfare foundations, care centers, and intellectual development centers. We support their development initiatives and participate in protection programs to contribute to disadvantaged families, rural education, and child welfare.
In 2025, our total charitable donations reached NT$2.89 million, focusing on the following key areas:
Education in Rural and Outlying Areas
The Company continues to address the lack of educational resources for children in rural and outlying areas. In 2025, approximately NT$1.24 million was donated to help improve learning environments and access to education. Specific efforts included:

  • Supporting organizations such as the “Huilong Disadvantaged Family Care Center of the Quaker Christian Church, the “Taiwan Love and Hope Child Care Development Association,” and the “Taiwan Rural Children Education Foundation” to promote after-school tutoring, reading programs, and outdoor experiential learning activities for children in rural areas.
  • Special support was provided to Taiwan’s outlying island region of Lanyu through donations of reading resources and educational equipment, including drones and teaching control systems, to help remote schools improve basic educational infrastructure and narrow the urban-rural education gap.
Support for the Homeless and Disadvantaged Groups
  • A donation of NT$300,000 was made to support “The Mustard Seed Mission” in promoting daily care services, disadvantaged family support, and community safety and well-being initiatives. Through continued community engagement and investment, the Company strives to foster social inclusion, fulfill corporate social responsibility, and move toward a sustainable future.
Assistance for Orphaned Infants and the Elderly
  • Support was provided to “Hanna’s Home” under the Taitung Christian Hospital and the Jalian Foundation to care for orphaned infants.
  • Support was also provided to the “Chinese Association for the Welfare of the Elderly” to assist vulnerable elderly individuals with basic living and caregiving support.
Emergency Relief, Community Development Support, and Care for People with Disabilities
In response to major natural disasters and the needs of vulnerable communities:
  • NT$500,000 was allocated to support rescue and post-disaster recovery efforts following flooding in southern Taiwan.
  • Support was provided to the “Dr. Liao Yong-Siang Life Education Association” to promote public medical lectures and hiking activities, contributing to healthier community development.
  • A donation was made to the “Mennonite Christian Hospital's Lih-Ming Center in Hualien” to help improve living conditions for individuals with physical and mental disabilities.

Waste Reduction at the Source • Protecting the Rhine River
In support of river conservation initiatives, the Company participated in a waste cleanup campaign along the Rhine River to promote ecological and community sustainability.
The Company joined a river cleanup initiative organized by the German non-profit organization RhineCleanUp gGmbH carrying out waste collection and classification activities along the Rhine River in Düsseldorf to help reduce pollutants entering the waterway.
As one of Europe’s major international rivers, the environmental quality of the Rhine River is closely linked to downstream ecosystems and global ocean health. However, the increasing accumulation of waste and microplastic pollution poses long-term threats to aquatic ecosystems. Through on-site riverbank waste collection and sorting, this initiative effectively intercepted waste from entering the river system, reduced the risk of pollutants spreading into the ocean, and reinforced the practice of waste reduction at the source.
In addition, participation in this initiative enhanced employees’ awareness of environmental issues and strengthened their willingness to take action, transforming the Company’s sustainability philosophy into concrete practices. Through collaboration with local non-profit organizations, the initiative not only contributed to the protection of regional biodiversity, but also strengthened partnerships between the Company and local communities, jointly advancing long-term sustainable development in environmental protection and social well-being.

Promotion of Cultural and Artistic Development

In 2025, the Y.S. Education Foundation continued to promote the development of culture and the arts in Taiwan through diverse and meaningful initiatives, with total annual investment reaching NT$4.2 million. Starting from the 22nd Y.S. Creative Awards, the foundation supported short film creation projects, encouraging younger generations to tell stories through visual media and creativity. In the arts and cultural field, the foundation sponsored the Chung Yuan Christian University Feng Ya Song Concert and supported the training and performances of the Taipei First Girls High School Music Marching Band and Color Guard, bringing music and performing arts into campuses and everyday life as a bridge connecting people and communities. The foundation also collaborated in promoting the original Taiwanese musical “Fort Zeelandia: When the Flame Trees Bloom,” injecting further momentum and opportunities into local performing arts development. In addition, through hosting four charity screenings of Taiwanese-produced films, attracting approximately 700 participants, the foundation not only encouraged greater public engagement with cinema, but also helped audiences gain a deeper understanding of the development of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry. From reading to creative expression, and from campuses to society, the Y.S. Education Foundation continues to promote the flow of culture through concrete actions, creating more opportunities for public participation and engagement.

About the Y.S. Education Foundation
The Y.S. Education Foundation was established at the end of 2002 through joint funding from seven companies under the MiTAC-Synnex Group—including MiTAC Holdings Corp., Getac Holdings Corp. (including Getac Technology and MPT Solution), Lien Hwa Industrial Holdings Corp., UPC Technology Corp., Synnex Technology International, and Mix System Holdings Ltd. The foundation upholds the belief of “giving back to society” and is dedicated to advancing technology education, food and agricultural education, and sustainable development. By integrating technology, humanities, and the arts, it provides diverse learning platforms for children and youth, fostering creative thinking and self-directed learning capabilities. Since 2003, the foundation has hosted the “Y.S. Creative Awards,” encouraging young people to engage in digital content creation and stimulating Taiwan’s industrial innovation capabilities.

Y.S. Creative Awards

The 23rd Y.S. Creative Awards, organized by the Y.S. Education Foundation of the MiTAC-Synnex Group, centered on the theme “AI Empowerment, Sustainable Future,” continuing its commitment to cultivating Taiwan’s next-generation talent in technology and sustainability. This year’s competition attracted 714 participating teams and further expanded to include AI application categories for senior high school and vocational high school students. A total of 60 teams advanced to the finals, with projects spanning digital applications, industrial design, motion graphics, and AI innovation. Many entries focused on sustainability-related topics, including recycling and reuse of discarded photovoltaic panels, energy efficiency enhancement, low-carbon transportation, intelligent anti-fraud solutions, and public safety applications, demonstrating young people’s ability to apply AI technologies to address environmental and social challenges. The judging panel recognized that the entries demonstrated comprehensive thinking ranging from problem identification to technology integration, reflecting how AI applications are gradually evolving into practical and implementable solutions. More than just a creative competition, the Y.S. Creative Awards have become an important platform connecting industry, government, and academia, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement while strengthening youth competitiveness and influence amid trends in digital transformation and net-zero sustainability.
